Directions to Downtown Jackson via the Cooper Street Exit

(West Ave. may be closed north of Ganson)

 

Coming from Lansing and North

Take 127 south to I-94.

Go east on I-94 one exit to exit 139 which is Cooper Street. Turn right after you get off the highway.  Take Cooper Street south following signs for “Downtown
Jackson.”  At the St. John Elementary and Middle School (on the left) the street will branch onto Francis Street.  Stay to the right and continue on Francis Street.  Go across the railroad tracks and continue on in front of Consumers Energy to Michigan Avenue.  Make a right turn on Michigan Avenue.

 

Coming from Ann Arbor and East

Go west on I-94 to exit 139 which is Cooper Street.  Turn left after you get off of the highway.  Take Cooper Street south following signs for “Downtown
Jackson.”  At the St. John Elementary and Middle School (on the left) the street will branch onto Francis Street.  Stay to the right and continue on Francis Street.  Go across the railroad tracks and continue on in front of Consumers Energy to Michigan Avenue. Make a right turn on Michigan Avenue.

 

Coming from Battle Creek and West

Go east on I-94 to exit 139 which is Cooper Street.  Turn right after you get off of the highway.  Take Cooper Street south following signs for “Downtown
Jackson.”  At the St. John Elementary and Middle School (on the left) the street will branch onto Francis Street.  Stay to the right and continue on Francis Street.  Go across the railroad tracks and continue on in front of Consumers Energy to Michigan Avenue.  Make a right turn on Michigan Avenue.

 

Coming from Adrian and South

Get to I-94. Go to exit 139 which is Cooper Street.   Take Cooper Street south following signs for “Downtown Jackson.” At the St. John Elementary and Middle School (on the left) the street will branch onto Francis Street.  Stay to the right and continue on Francis Street. Go across the railroad tracks and continue on in front of Consumers Energy to Michigan Avenue. Make a right turn on Michigan Avenue.  From I-94, you will pass six stoplights. There is a
parking lot on Michigan Avenue on the left.  There is also on-street parking.
