Celebrating 28 Years of Stories that Touch Your Heart!
in Jackson, Michigan
Welcome One and All
Jackson Storyfest – igniting imagination through the art of storytelling
It all started with a spark of an idea on a plane returning from the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee. More than twenty-seven years later and over 150,000 children, youth, and adults, have shared in the unique experience of Jackson Storyfest.
Held the first weekend of May each year, Storytellers from all over the United States bring their special stories to Jackson, Michigan; where audiences of all ages share in the laughter, the tears, and the memories.
Join us April 29, April 30, May 1 & 2, 2015 for Jackson Storyfest, celebrating over 28 Years of “Stories to Tickle, Tug and Touch You” – where national and local storytellers will delight children and adults.
The fun begins Wednesday with storytelling sessions for Jackson area pre-school children and continues on Thursday with a morning adult performance. On Friday, the flame of excitement will touch children who will be attending performances in area schools throughout Jackson. Our goal – to help children understand that we are all part of a larger community united through the love of stories!
The excitement continues on Friday evening, when a very special adult performance will be held. Saturday starts early with 2 information-packed workshops, an afternoon performance for all ages and ends with a very special evening performance.
We hope to see you April 29, April 30, May 1 & 2, 2015 downtown Jackson, Michigan ~where it promises to be a treasure to remember!
